Jakarta (ANTARA) – Motorola has introduced a new mid-range cellphone called the Motorola Edge (2023), which is said to rival the Google Pixel 8.
As reported by the Gizchina page, Tuesday (11/10), this device is priced at 100 United States (US) dollars cheaper than the Google Pixel 8 and offers several unique features.
The phone offers a sleek design with curved glass and a leather cover. Judging from its launch in the US, the new Motorola Edge is currently on sale starting from 599 US dollars, or around Rp. 9.37 million.

The new Motorola Edge retains the sleek design of its predecessor. This phone is powered by chips The Dimensity 7030 from MediaTek, is equipped with 8GB RAM, and provides 256GB internal storage.
Using Android 13, Motorola has not revealed how many OS updates it will receive. Please note, the retail package does not include a charging adapter.
On the front, a 6.6-inch FHD+ HDR-ready OLED screen is presented with speed refresh 144Hz high and 1,200 peak brightness nits.
The curved glass design provides an elegant appearance. According to Motorola, the Edge (2023) has IP68 certification, so it can withstand occasional splashes of water without damaging its internal components.
The Motorola Edge (2023) also comes with a 4,400mAh battery that supports 68W fast charging. That charging speed surpasses the Pixel 8 by more than double.

Motorola claims that just 10 minutes of charging can give you a full day of use, although actual results may vary.
In addition to wired charging, the phone offers 15W wireless charging and the ability to share power wirelessly with other devices at 5W speeds.
The Motorola Edge (2023) has a 50-megapixel primary camera on the back, which includes optical stabilization and supports features like Active Photo, Night Vision, and 4K video recording at 30 fps.
This main camera has a wide f/1.4 aperture and uses a 4-in-1 pixel binning to improve image quality by processing light data into 2 micron super-pixels.
In simple terms, this camera can capture more light, producing photos with more detail and depth. Camera ultrawide uses a 13 megapixel sensor and can also take macro shots close-up bycrop digital image. On the front side, this camera is equipped with a camera selfies 32 megapixels.
