How to Make Ringtone on iPhone Easily and Quickly

A ringtone is a sound that a cell phone makes as a sign of an incoming message or call. iPhone users can make the ringtone they want easily and quickly.

There are several ways to do this, starting from the application to the regulations menu. Check out some of the methods below.

How to Make a Ringtone on iPhone

Before making a ringtone, users need to download the song they want to use as a ringtone first in the iPhone Music library or File App. Here’s how to make a ringtone on iPhone.

Using the GarageBand Application

The official way to create custom ringtones on iOS is using the GarageBand app. Quoting Airdroid, this application developed by Apple is available for all iOS users.

So, GarageBand can help you turn a song into an iPhone ringtone. Here’s how:

1. Open GarageBand on iPhone
2. Click the “+” icon and swipe left or right to find the “Audio Recorder” option
3. You can record a new sound or import an audio file that you want to use as a ringtone
4. Click the Loop icon and select File, Music, or Apple Loops where the ringtone is stored
5. Drag and drop ringtones to the audio workstation
6. Double-click the custom ringtone and click Split. Use the scissors icon to cut the length of the note if necessary. Double-tap the part you don’t want to use, then delete it
7. Click the top left down arrow icon, select “My Songs”
8. Select and hold the audio file and click Share>Ringtone
9. Enter a name and click Export
10. Finally, click “Use sound as..” to directly use the selected song as a ringtone.

Using iRingg

The next way to make iPhone ringtones is with the iRingg application. The steps are as follows.

1. Download and install iRing on PC
2. Connect iPhone to PC
3. Once the iPhone is detected, click the “Browse” option to search for the music you want to make a ringtone.
4. After selecting music, cut the ringtone to 30 seconds
5. You can also personalize the ringtone using the “Personalized & Edit” menu.
6. Click Export, save it on your iPhone device
7. On iPhone, open Settings
8. Click Sounds & Haptics, then Ringtone.
9. Select the song you want to make a ringtone

Via Settings

To apply a saved ringtone, users can select the Settings menu. Then select the desired music.

1. Open the Settings menu on iPhone
2. Click Sounds & Haptics
3. Click “Ringtone” to view the various ringtone options available
4. Click the ringtone you choose

Via Contact

iPhone users can also set ringtones according to someone’s contacts. So, you can find out someone’s call from their ringtone. Quoting the Apple Support page, the method is:

1. Open the Contacts application, click the name of the contact you want to give a custom ringtone to
2. In the top right corner of the contact card, click Edit
3. Click Ringtone, select a ringtone.
